KOCHI:
As India’s biggest tourism conclave Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) is all set to get under way here on September 27, a large team of journalists, travel writers and bloggers from around the world reached the state on Saturday, who will tour the length and breadth of the state in the coming days to have a hands-on feel of the God’s Own Country.
The media team from India and abroad will report the proceedings of KTM, besides covering Kerala extensively, including the expeditious comeback of tourism from the devastating floods that hit the state recently.
The 36-member contingent comprising 28 journalists, five photo journalists and three bloggers includes media persons from America, Russia, UK, Switzerland, Spain, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand , Philippines and Hong Kong.
Soon on their arrival, they had an interaction with KTM president Baby Mathew and the Managing Committee members of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society, the organisers of the event.
Also, journalists from Indian media including writers from leading tourism publications and online portals will be covering the event , which brings together stakeholders in tourism industry from the country and abroad from September 27 to 30.
The organisers have also arranged post-KTM tours for the delegates who are attending the event to major destinations across the state including its renowned backwater and hill resorts and ayurvedic spas. As many as six tour packages have been arranged for them.
