KOCHI:
Milma’s Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (ERCMPU) is honouring three members who measured the highest quantity of milk during 2023-24 by gifting them with 10-litre vessels costing Rs 1,000 each.
ERCMPU Chairman M.T. Jayan, while announcing this today, said the scheme has been carried out to encourage the milk-measuring farmers of the cooperatives functioning from the districts of Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Idukki under the union.
The gift is being given as part of distributing 20,000 milk vessels under a Rs 8-crore grant ERCMPU received recently for its excellent performance in the south Indian region of the National Dairy Development Board.
