Muthoot M George Foundation Felicitates Toppers From Government/Aided Schools

Muthoot Finance Ltd, India’s largest gold loan company’ss Corporate Social Responsibility wing Muthoot M George Foundation inaugurated it’s educational initiative “Muthoot M George Excellence Awards distribution 2018“ for all government schools in South India. The educational initiative is a part of one of the Corporate Social Responsibility activity undertaken by the company.

The Excellence award for 2018 was inaugurated and distributed by Soumini Jain, Mayor, Corporation of Cochinalong with George Alexander Muthoot, Managing Director, The Muthoot Group, George M Jacob, Executive Director, Muthoot Finance Ltd. The other officials present during this occasion including Dr. M L Joseph Mundanchery, Principal, St. Albert’s College, Ernakulam, N.K Mohandas, BJP – Ernakulam District President and K. R. Bijimon, Chief General Manager, The Muthoot Group.

This scholarship will benefit 2000 students of Government/aided schools and consists of a cash prize of Rs.2000 and a personalized memento. The scholarship award was launched in the year 2010 to the toppers of govt schools in Kerala, later in 2013 it got extended to state of Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking on this occasion George Alexander Muthoot, MD, Muthoot Finance Ltd, said, “We bestowed scholarships to 2000 government school toppers across South India to nurture and encourage the young minds. Over the years we have been practicing scholarship awards to motivate students to achieve excellence in their academics. We remain duly committed to the community with various corporate social responsibilities in the near future.”
