The anticipatory bail moved by filmmaker Nadhirshah was not considered by the High Court. The court pointed out that there is no circumstances for his arrest as there are no evidence against him in connection with the sexual assault and attack on the South Indian actress.
The court said that Nadhirshah has to appear before the police for any further investigation. The investigation team had informed the court that Nadhirshah had cooperated in the probe.
The details of questioning Nadhirshan had been submitted to the court in a sealed cover. Earlier, when the bail application was considered, the court instructed not to arrest Nadhirshah. The court also said that if there was any evidence against him, it should be informed to the court before this arrest.
The anticipatory bail plea of actress Kavya Madhavan was also not considered by the High Court as the police gave an undertaking that she will not be arrested.
Kerala High Court granted bail for actor Dileep on September 3, 2017, who was arrested in connection with sexual assault and attack on a South Indian actress. Dileep was released from Aluva sub jail by evening. A huge crowd of Dileep’s supporters gathered in front of the jail during his release and given a reception.
Dileep was granted bail after a remand of 85 days in Aluva sub jail. He was granted bail on the condition that his passport has to be surrounded at the magistrate court, not to influence the witnesses, appear before the investigating officers as part of the probe, Rs one lakh to be remitted as surety at court and two personal securities.
Earlier, the bail application moved by actor Dileep was not considered by the High Court as there was no changes in any circumstances regarding the case. Angamaly magistrate court also rejected the bail application of actor Dileep twice.
Granting bail, the High Court said that there was substantial change in the circumstances and could be given relief on stringent conditions. The court also said tha the accused should not try to influence the witnesses in the case.
