Nail-biting Clincher Marks Finale of Technopark Cricket Tourney

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Technopark Premier League (TPL 2023)cricket tournament concluded with H&R Block Blue lifting the title for the second time in a row, trouncing Guide House Blue in a nail-biting final match.

The four-month-long cricket tournament for techies and other employees based out of Technopark was organized by Murugan Cricket Club and sponsored by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Park.

In the women’s division, TWCL Infosys Yellow emerged winners.

M G Rajamanickam, Principal Director, Principal Directorate, LSGD and Special Secretary (Revenue), distributed prizes and trophies to the winners. Adv.Rejith Rajendran, TDCA Secretary, and Abhilash D.S, Manager, Administration, Technopark were also present.

A total of 156 men’s teams and 21 women’s teams participated in TPL 2023, which got underway on December 8, 2023. The men’s competition featured three phases categorized by their performances in last year.

In the final phase, known as the Champion Round, six group winners vied in the Super Six stage. Subsequently, four teams advanced to the playoffs. Overall, there were 264 matches spread over four months.
