KORATTY:
The hunger hunt project of Fr Davis Chiramel Charitable Trust, Nammude Ammacheede Adukkala, as part of the hunger free Kerala programme was inaugurated by Koratty grama Panchayat President P.C. Biju.
The project is aimed at providing food for the poor and an income for the women. In the first phase, the centralised kitchen attached to the Trust main office will prepare idli, sambar and chatni. It is expected to create more job opportunities for women and priority will be given to widows.
The food prepared from here will be given through the special counter at the Trust and delivered in five kilometre radius at a minimal price. Home delivery number 7594942223. A modern plant which can make 120 idli’s in 12 minutes is installed here. Idli can be booked in advance and sponsoring of food is also available here. Retired SP and recipient of President’s medal Tomy Sebastian and Koratty ASI M Satheeshan were honoured at the function. Trust chief patron Fr David Chiramel, Koratty Forena Church Vicar Fr Jose Edassery, Trust Chairman Rajan Thomas, Managing trustee C V Jose, Joseph Varghese veliyath participated.
