NDC Delegation Visits Technopark, Hails Kerala’s IT Ecosystem

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
A high-level delegation from the prestigious national institute on strategic leadership and national security, National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, hailed Kerala’s IT ecosystem as a sustainable and vibrant one that contributes significantly to the development of the nation, during a visit to Technopark here.

The 16-member delegation from NDC, headed by Vijay Nehra, Senior Directing Staff NDC, was on a visit to the state capital as part of a study course on national security and strategic studies. The NDC delegation had an extensive interaction with Technopark CEO Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd) and other officials of the park.

In his briefing to the delegation, Col Nair gave an overview of the robust IT ecosystem including various organisations under Kerala IT, technological landscape of IT/ITES companies and co-developers within Technopark, the management model and the strengths of the world-class infrastructure, environment, and business opportunities that Kerala offers. He also briefed the delegation on the synergy between technology and ecology in the park and how its driven by the digitally empowered IT fraternity.

He added that Kerala has a conducive environment for IT and Tourism to flourish together, they jointly foster the concept of Workcation, combining work with leisure at select tourism destinations for the IT fraternity. Technopark campus at Kollam, astride the serene and enchanting Ashtamudi lake, is being planned to be evolved as an excellent Workcation destination, he said.

Apart from Nehra, the NDC delegation comprised of senior officers of the Indian armed forces, friendly foreign countries, civil services that included Cmde A K Rao, NM, Brig Mandeep Grewal, VSM, Col Ali Naseer Sulaiman AL Harthi, Oman, Brig Pankaj Dhyani, KC, Col Dagvadorj Enkhtsog, Mongolia, DIG Prateek Thapliyal, ICG, Col Zaw Min Htut, Myanmar, Air Cmde Vanga Siva Rama Krishna Reddy, Brig A Mookherji, Shri Mahesh Gopinath Jiwade, IRS (IT)-Tour Coordinator, Brig Vaibhav Misra, Cmde Mohammed Faizul Hoque, Bangladesh, Brig H Kataria, SM, Brig Oman Adan Mahamud, Kenya, and Kaval Singh, INAS. The key officials from Technopark who joined the interaction included AGM Customer relationship Vasanth Varada, senior marketing officials and IT Fellows.

The dignitaries also visited UST Global and they held the delegation spellbound, showcasing the excellent ambience, support facility and world class infrastructure developed by them in Technopark Phase -II. The NDC delegation reached Technopark after meeting senior government officials at the Government Secretariat.
