THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Sudeep, chairman, National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) Trivandrum Chapter inaugurted the chapter at Asian School of Business.
During his session on, “Igniting young minds”, Sudeep explained how a person of humble beginnings can rise to such power and be successful. He made his life experiences to beautiful examples on how anyone can be what he wants to be but with sheer hard-work, luck and network in the same field.
Ajish, Global Competency Manager, Tata Elxsi, spoke about, “New Generation HR Practices”, which is a highly debated topic nowadays. With the fear of automation in all the fields and the loss of livelihood for many HR personnel, he explained with data, figures and clear examples that such a thing is just a myth.
The only thing any HR should take care is to move ahead with the technology with clear understanding of how everything works rather than being aloof to the changes around you, he said.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr.George Thomas, Director, Asian School of Business. Prof. Dipu B., Mentor, NIPM Student Chapter – ASB and Vivarthana J Vijayan, NIPM Student Chapter chairman, spoke. Anand R. Babu, vice chairman, NIPM Student Chapter, proposed vote of thanks. A question and answer session was also held.
