NISH to Conduct Orientation Programme for Entrance of its Degree Courses for Deaf

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
​The National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) will be conducting a one-day orientation programme-cum-model examination for the deaf students preparing to appear for the entrance examinations for its degree programmes on May 25.
The institute conducts B.Sc. Computer Science (HI), BFA(HI) and B.Com. (HI) degree programmes exclusively for deaf students, the admissions for which are done through an entrance test called Degree Admission Competency Exam (DACE).
Basic competence of students in English, Maths and Logical Ability will be tested in DACE.The orientation being conducted by the faculty of NISH will provide insights into the preparations needed for securing admission in these courses.
All deaf and hard of hearing students who are interested in applying for admission to degree programmes at NISH would benefit from this orientation programme.
Students who have passed Plus-Two or awaiting results are eligible to attend the orientation programme. Plus-Two teachers of deaf schools are also invited to attend the coaching. Seats are limited.
