The National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) is offering ‘NISH Innovations Model – Training for the Inclusive Educator’ (NIM-TIE), a 15-week post-graduate certificate training programme for lecturers who teach students with disabilities, especially the hearing impaired ones, in colleges, polytechnics, ITI, hig
The programme, with focus on special education, will equip the educator with the knowledge and proficiency to become a sensitive and competent inclusive instructor.
The course includes classroom lectures, practical teaching sessions, online courses, Technology, Entertainment and Design (TED) talks, reflective journals and other innovative modules to prepare a creative teacher for the classroom for students with special needs.
Specially selected experts will handle the classes at the NISH campus with only ten seats available. Preference will be given to sponsored candidates from colleges and schools for the deaf. Post-graduates in any discipline can apply for the programme where the first batch begins on Monday (March 6).
