

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) will be conducting an online seminar on serious ill-effects of exposure to unhealthy sounds on October 16.
“Is it too loud?– Facts about unhealthy sound exposure, hazards and prevention” is the topic of the webinar, being organized in association with the Directorate of Social Justice.
Lekha S Nair, Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist, Department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, NISH, will lead the Interactive Disability Awareness (NIDAS) webinar.
The one-hour Malayalam webinar, the 59th in the series, will be streamed live on Google Meet platform and YouTube from the NISH campus at Akkulam here from 10.30 am.
The webinar aims at creating awareness on various intervention approaches to help children with disability adapt and function age appropriately.
