THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The Centre for Assistive Technology and Innovation (CATI) at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) at Akkulam here is conducting a free online session on creating digital cards for education, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) using the app ‘Expressia’ for the differently-abled on December 21.
The half-an-hour webinar, to be held from 4pm, offers a free online solution, ‘Expressia Life,’ which can be used by educators to create interactive digital tasks and activities for children with different abilities.
The webinar is being organised as part of the 6th edition of CATI Confabs. Designed to work as an AAC solution, it helps overcome speech limitations by creating cards with images. It also involves storytelling activities with images, voice, text or audio.
