NEW DELHI:
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Fourth Valley Concierge Corporation (FVCC), a Tokyo-based global human resources and international recruitment firm, to strengthen and facilitate workforce mobility opportunities for Indian talent in Japan. The partnership marks a significant step toward enhancing the credibility, transparency, and integrity of Indian professionals entering the Japanese workforce.
The collaboration will leverage the “Credibility Check” framework provided by NSDC Trust, a group organization of NSDC, to establish a structured and reliable verification mechanism for Indian candidates travelling to Japan through FVCC. By creating a transparent and trusted verification ecosystem, the collaboration aims to reinforce employer confidence and strengthen the long-term employability, acceptance, and recognition of Indian talent within the Japanese workforce ecosystem.
Under the proposed framework, the verification process may include identity verification, educational and qualification credential verification, employment history verification, criminal background checks where legally permissible, consistency checks of submitted documents, and other credibility assessment parameters designed to enhance trust and transparency in the recruitment process.
Shri Arunkumar Pillai, CEO, NSDC, said, “Building a robust and globally aligned verification system is essential to strengthening India’s international workforce mobility ecosystem and enhancing the confidence of overseas employers in Indian talent. This partnership reflects NSDC’s continued commitment to enabling secure, credible, and future-ready pathways for Indian professionals seeking global employment opportunities.”
Shri Yohei Shibasaki, Founder & CEO, Fourth Valley Concierge Corporation (FVCC), said, “Indian professionals are highly skilled and globally competitive, and through a robust credibility verification framework, we aim to further strengthen the confidence of Japanese employers while creating meaningful long-term opportunities for Indian talent in Japan. This partnership reflects our commitment to enabling responsible and sustainable international workforce integration.”
The initiative comes at a crucial time as Japan continues to witness a growing labour shortage and increasing demand for foreign talent, while employers and institutions are placing greater emphasis on authenticity, compliance, and responsible workforce integration.
During the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to Japan in 2025, India and Japan reaffirmed their Special Strategic and Global Partnership, with people-to-people exchange emerging as a key pillar of bilateral cooperation. Both countries also outlined an action plan for India-Japan human resource exchange and cooperation, with a broader vision of facilitating the movement of at least 50,000 skilled Indian professionals to Japan over the next five years.
In alignment with this larger India-Japan vision, the collaboration between NSDC and FVCC is expected to contribute towards building a trusted, transparent, and seamless talent mobility ecosystem between the two countries in the years ahead.
