One Time Settlement for SBT Education Loans

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
It is decided to launch a “One Time Compromise Settlement for Education Loan” by State Bank of Travancore (SBT) sbt during the month as an one time measure subject to Bank’s terms and conditions. This scheme will be available to borrowers of all Education loans upto Rs.4 lakhs as Limit sanctioned before 01/01/2011 and which are long overdue.
All eligible borrowers are requested to take this opportunity to settle their dues before the bank goes for legal
remedies. They are advised to approach the respective branches before 31.08.2016.
For the borrowers who do not come forward to repay / settle the dues under scheme, intensive recovery drive will be launched from 01.09.2016, through appropriate legal measures including Revenue Recovery actions.
