  • Oommen Chandy Justifies Prime Minister Modi

    Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that there was no impropriety in the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the fireworks disaster zone.
    Rather, it was a great solace to the people, he clarified. He, however, supported his police chief saying that Sen Kumar mde statement on the basis of security concerns

    There were reports that Kerala Police Chief T P Sen Kumar had objected to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi to the disaster-hit area within 12 hours of the tragedy, citing security reasons. His opinion was that the police force which had been under stress and fatigue due to rescue operations.
