THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Aroma Fresh, a trusted, pesticide-free food retailer, has made an entry into the milk market with an organic brand named Aroma Fresh Farm Milk.
The new product was launched by Ministers V S Sunil Kumar and K Raju. Also present at the launch were Ministers E Chandrasekharan, Mathew T Thomas, Kadannapalli Ramachandran, Opposition leader Ramesh C
hennithala, MLAs M K Muneer, K K Ramachandran Nair and K Rajan, and Aroma Horticulture Products Pvt Ltd Chairman P K Sajeev and Aroma Fresh Managing Director Anne Sajeev.
The milk, sourced from 300 cows at the company’s Pandalam-based Agro Soft Farm, is processed at an in-house plant. “The quality of Aroma Fresh Milk comes from the quality of feed and fodder from our pesticide-free paddy lands,” said Sajeev. “We make sure that the protein source of cows feed is from plant origin and not from animal source, which gives the milk a good taste and quality.”
Even milk sourced from other farmers is put through the company’s stringent quality controls to ensure that it is free of preservatives, antibiotics, pesticides and chemicals, artificial fats and milk solids and other harmful chemicals used for increasing the shelf life of milk. Regular quality checks are done for every batch of milk and milk products in the in-house laboratory and periodically in an accredited lab.
The milk is now sold in five outlets in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, with a daily output of 10,000 litres, expectedto increase to 25,000 litres.
“Aroma Fresh is a socially responsible venture, committed to serving customers with quality products at affordable prices,” said Ann. “We hope to combine modern technology with traditional farming techniques to create safe, healthy ingredients.”
Aroma Fresh products include GAP-certified cereals, coffee, tea, millet, honey, pulses, spices, oils, sweeteners, salt, beverages, fruits, vegetables and other lifestyle products like soaps, cosmetics and aromatic oils.
The Dubai-based Aroma Group of Companies also owns Fragrant Nature Hotel group, a construction company and film production company Fragrant Nature Film Creations under its umbrella.
