  • Over 125 Foreign Delegates from 34 Countries Turn up for Global Ayurveda and Wellness Conclave

By NE Reporter on February 3, 2026

    KOZHIKODE:

More than 125 delegates from around 34 countries have turned up for the first International Ayurveda and Wellness Conclave that got underway here today, showcasing Kerala as the domain leader in wellness tourism.

Russia tops the list of countries with 22 delegates, followed by Germany (14) at the February 2-3 event, organised by Ayurveda Promotion Society (APS) in association with Department of Tourism and allied tourism/health organizations.
The conclave brings together Ayurveda scholars, global wellness experts, policymakers, academics, industry leaders, travel trade professionals and international stakeholders.

The delegates, comprising sellers, buyers and global wellness experts, are mainly from countries like Russia, Germany, France, USA, Slovakia, Lebanon, Italy, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, Israel, Armenia, Jordan, Turkey, Poland, Portugal, South Korea and Mexico.

Viktoria Stefanova from Russia, who is on her maiden visit to God’s Own Country, said she considers Kerala as a potential Ayurveda destination and the topics discussed at the conclave were riveting and highly informative.

She said normally, Russia has winter 6-7 months a year and currently, the weather is minus 20; prompting her to visit India looking for Ayurveda therapy. “Ayurveda is popular in Russia but we don’t have enough information about the other specialties of the traditional medicine,” added Stefanova.

Besides serving as a forum for clinching business collaborations, the two-day meet will see insightful presentations by Ayurveda and wellness experts and industry stakeholders, imparting an impetus to the state’s efforts to emerge as a leader in Ayurveda and wellness tourism based on a responsible and sustainable development model.

The conclave also serves as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, policy development, B2B networking, and global collaborations, thereby accelerating Kerala’s emergence as the world’s most trusted destination for Ayurveda and holistic wellness tourism.

A day-long structured B2B interaction connecting 150 international & domestic buyers and 100 Ayurveda service providers from Kerala will be held on February 3 at Dimora Hotel at Thondayad Bypass Road near Cyberpark, Kozhikode.

The event will facilitate extensive B2B networking between 100 Kerala sellers, 120 International Agents/Operators, 30 Indian Agents/Operators, 30 Yoga Operators, 30 International and 20 Indian Bloggers &media representatives.

A tour for international Ayurveda and Yoga ambassadors has been planned from February 4 for international delegates across Kerala, including property visits. It will start from Kozhikode and conclude in the state capital on February 12.

During the tour, the delegates will visit Ayurveda resorts and wellness retreats, Yoga destinations, Ayurveda hospitals and Ayurveda manufacturing facilities across the state.

The programme also includes curated cultural and heritage experiences such as Kerala Kalamandalam, Kochi- Muziris Biennale, Kochi Port Cruise, and other key attractions, offering a comprehensive exposure to Kerala’s Ayurveda, wellness, and cultural ecosystem.
