Paint prices are to soar further because of the cost of raw materials, The Kerala unit of the Indian Small Scale Paint Association (ISSPA) is acquainted.
ISSPA, an all-India organization of paint manufacturers, said in a meeting held at Kochi that the uncontrolled gain in the price was compelled to increase the price of every type of paint product.
There are over 200 small-scale units in Kerala that directly employ about 5000 workers. The manufacturers claim that their products are of better quality than those of the big companies. Indigo Paints Director V K Narayanankutty inaugurated the state meeting which was presided over by ISSPA Chairman N S Namboothiri. ISSPA National Secretary V Dinesh Prabhu, former National Chairman Neerav Ravishya, State Vice-Chairman Manohar Prabhu, Secretary Ajith Nair, TGR Group Chairman T G Region, Amcos Paint Director S Hari, Walmax Paint Director V A Sushil and TrueCoat Paint Director T M Skaria, Buckler Paints Director Sanooj Stephen and Dolphin Marketing Director Radhakrishnan spoke.
