Global Pravasi Association chairman Salam Pappinissery submitted a memorandum to External Affairs Minister Dr S Jayashankar and Union Minister of State V Muraleedharan urging to include passengers from UAE and Kuwait in the list of countries which do not need RTPCR test and quaratine for those who had taken two doses to vaccine.
He pointed out that there are protest from certain quarters in connection with avoiding the passengers from the two countries by the Indian Government. The majority of the Indians had been vaccinated and the Indian Government should consider the reasonable demand of the NRI’s he added.
