CHENNAI:
Indian Overseas Bank’s Chennai-1 Region organized a loan distribution event for Street Vendors on September 20, 2023. The event was graced by the presence of the Honourable Additional Commissioner (Revenue & Finance), Greater Chennai Corporation, R. Lalitha, who attended as the chief guest. Sukumar Chittibabu, City Revenue Officer of Greater Chennai Corporation, also joined the gathering as special guest.
Davender Kumar, Chief Regional Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Chennai-1 Region, and Varun Deepak R, Lead District Manager of IOB Chennai District, presided over the event. During the ceremony, a total of Rs 55 lakhs and 90 thousand worth of loans were disbursed to deserving street vendors, with 306 businesses benefiting from this initiative.
Bhanuchander, Additional Revenue Officer, and Natarajan, assistant revenue officer of Greater Chennai Corporation extended their support during the event, further strengthening the bank’s commitment to fostering local businesses.
