THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Thiruvananthapuram Division, Southern Railway will coordinate efforts for providing relief materials to the flood-affected parts of Kerala.
The division has decided to set up collection centers for flood relief materials and sanitary items from passengers and railway staff who are voluntarily donating these essential materials to flood relief victims. These collection centers are facilitated at parcel offices of Nagercoil Jn., Thiruvananthapuram central, Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam Town, Ernakulam South and Thrissur stations (Total 9 stations). Dy. Station Manager(Commercial) at these stations will coordinate the efforts. The service of passengers associations throughout the division will be sought for effective implementation of the process. Officers of Thiruvananthapuram Railway Division will contribute their one day’s salary to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
