Ramesh B. Tawadkar Inaugurates Playground at Bogda

The playground at Bogda in Mormugao Taluka was inaugurated today at the hands of Ramesh B. Tawadkar, Minister for Tribal Welfare, Sports and Youth Affairs, Animal Husbandry & Agriculture, in the presence of Milind Sagun Naik, Minister for Power & Legal Metrology, Dr. Pramod Sawant, MLA – Sankhali Constituency & Chairman – GSIDC, Sidharth Kuncalienker, MLA – Panaji Constituency & Vice Chairman – GSIDC, Deepak Naik, Chairpersgsidcon, Mormugao Municipal Council, Shashikant Parab Deputy Chairperson – Mormugao Municipal Council
& other MMC Councilors.
Under the visionary leadership of Pramod P. Sawant, GSIDC is helping lead the way in building quality infrastructure for the state of Goa. Currently, the coporation is in the process of building roads, bridges, hospitals, colleges, schools, libraries, stadiums, jetties, bus stands, cultural centres and market complexes and is involved
in the holistic development of rural and urban spaces.
Adding to this list of works, GSIDC has undertaken the constructi
on of the playground at Bogda. The area has been developed as a multipurpose playground that spans an area of approximately 5600 m2 area. Not only is it covered with doob grass, but the playground also has a clay-based vollyball court and a 301 metre paved jogging track illuminated with LED lights. It is also equipped with ameneties like a toilet block, an office room, ample parking space and two underground tanks.
The consultant on the project was S. N. Bhobe & Associates Pvt. Ltd. The contractors that have been awarded the work were Prasad Enterprises. The awarded cost of the project was approximately 1.37 Crores.
