RBI Lifts all ATM Withdrawal Limits from February 1

MUMBAI:
The reserve Bank of India on Monday evening announced that all limits placed on cash withdrawals from ATMs will be withdrawn from Febreuary 01. Banks, however, at their discretion may have their own operating limits.
Even the limits placed on cash withdrawals from Current accounts, Cash credit accounts or Overdraft accounts have been withdrawn with immediate effect. However, the restrictions on withdrawal of Rs 24,000 a week from savings bank account will continue f
r now, the RBI stated in an official release.
The central bank also said that the limits on Savings Bank accounts will continue for the present and are under consideration for withdrawal in the near future.
