Sudir Garg, Chairman, Coir Board and Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India has released the medal for 6 th edition of Spice Coast Marathon to be held at Kochi on 1st December, 2019 by handing over the medal to P. Venugopal, Secretary, Department of Industries & Coir, Govt. of Kerala.
Coir Board is the medal partner of Spice Coast Marathon for all previous editions. The medal is made from Coir Wood, combination of coir and resin. Coir Board is promoting eco-friendly products. Coir wood is one such natural product. Coir wood not only promote eco friendliness but also arrest deforestation. Coir Wood is a very good substitute of Wood. We can make doors, windows, cots, tables, chairs etc from coir wood.
