Trainees of RSC S & J Badminton Academy and 43 trainees of RSC Table Tennis Academy receive
d Rs.1 Crore worth of Li Ning products sponsored by Sunlight Sports PTE Ltd, Singapore.
This was distributed by Soumini Jain, Mayor of Kochi Corporation and P. Rajeev, former Member of Parliament at Regional Sports Centre, Cochin.
Each player will receive about Rs.40,000 worth of goods. Over and above this, the cost of sponsored Shuttlecock will be Rs.40 lakhs (approx.) and Table Tennis balls Rs.5 lakhs (approx.).
Soumini Jain stated that she was happy that out of the total 153 trainees of both the academies who received the kit worth about Rs.40,000 each, more than 100 were not members and were members of the public who were talented in the game.
P Rajeev, said that it was nice to note that RSC was doing yeoman service to the public and are encouraging sportspersons amongst them. S.A.S. Navaz, Secretary of RSC said that with the money raised from the public as membership fees, RSC is developing its infrastructure and making it world-class.
At the same time, these world-class infrastructures in different games are made available to the members of the public between 3 pm and 6 pm every day. anohar Prabhu, past Secretary of RSC and Vedanga Prabhu, Treasurer of RSC also spoke.
