Mumbai: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) started the sale of its new uniform on Monday, at ashop near the RSS headquarters at Reshimbaug in Nagpur, replacing its trademark khakhi shorts wih full-length trousers.
The first lot of 10,000 sets of the new uniform is on sale now. It comprises the regular white shirt, black cap, a black leather belt, a pair of dark brown socks and black shoes, the trademark bamboo cane and full-length dark khaki ( full-length) trousers. A pair of new trousers costs Rs 250.
It is reported that the new uniform would be officially adopted by RSS volunteers on October 11, the Vijaya Dashami day.
