Saleema, the actress with melancholic eyes, who played some challenging characters in Malayalam is planning a return to Mollywood after a gap of 29 years.
The actress will apparently be seen in an upcoming Tamil movie named ‘November 16’. According to reports, the actress approached actor Vineeth, M T Vasudevan Nair, director Hariharan, and late actress Monisha’s mother Sridevi with the idea of her Mollywood return which was encouraged by everyone.
Saleema’s rebel-yet-poetically made character ‘Ammini’ in ‘Aranyakam’ directed by Hariharan, is considered as of the meaningful woman characters ever made in Malayalam, which the actress aced at.
Daughter of famous Telugu actress Girija, Saleema, made her debut in Malayalam cinema through the movie ‘Naghakshathangal’. Her last Malayalam movie was ‘Mahayanam’ released in 1989.
