THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
As part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of SBT, we have organized a Cycle Yatra which has started from Sapththi Branch, Kasaragode.
The Yatra is culminated at SBT Museum, Kowdiar, Thiruvananthapuram. The Cycle Yatra is being arranged to spread the following messages among the general public and the staff members:
*Use of Bicycle. To improve health, To reduce pollution and to preserve resources of the country.
* Obey Traffic rues: Lot of valuable lives are scattered on the roads. Obeying Traffice rules will considerably reduce accidents on the road.
* Clean Environment: If everybody keep their surroundings clean & tidy the whole nation will become a serene place to live.
* Donate Organs : Many fellow beings are losing their lives due to non availablity of Organs.
The Rally Team covered 150 Branches of SBT in nine districts on the National Highway from Sapthathi Branch, Kasaragode to Sreekaryam Branch and collecting the Organ donation forms from the general public and staff members. The Team captain was M K Suresh babu, AGM, Kozhikkode Main Branch assisted by Paul D Prabhakar, Mgr of the same Branch. There were public meetings at 8 centres Kasargode, Nileshwar, Kannur, Kozhikode,Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Kollam.
Arundhathi Bhattacharya, Chairman SBI Group felicitated the Rally. Managing Director and all top executives of the Bank participated. Dr Noble Gracious spoke on “ Organ Donation”.
