KOTTAYAM:
The South Indian Bank has organised a townhall event at Kottayam Darshana CA Academy as part of RBI’s nationwide intensive awareness campaign on safe banking, banking customer rights and grievance redressal mechanism in banks. In the keynote address, R Kamalakannan, Chief General Manager and RBI Ombudsman, introduced The Reserve Bank Integrated Ombudsman scheme in detail.
The RBI Ombudsman and the Deputy Ombudsman responded to the complaints of banking customers, general queries and spoke on safe banking practices during the Open House session. A special session on financial literacy in banking and insurance was also conducted.
