Sustainable Development to be Given Priority: Dr. J.Letha

KOCHI:
“All scientific activities should be aimed at sustainable development”, said Dr. J.Letha, Cusat Vice Chancellor. She was inaugurating the National Conference on ‘Current Trends in Polymer Science’ organised by Polymer Science and Rubber Technology Department of the University on Friday.
She also opined that Researchers should have meaningful discussions and their activities should be holistic and oriented towards society and environment. The ISO Certificate was released in the function. Dr. P.G.Sankaran, Pro Vice Chancellor, Cusat presided, Dr. Sabu Thomas, P.V.C, M.G. University, delivered special address at the function. Dr. Sunil K. Narayanankutty, Controller of Examinations ,Dr. K.E. George, Retired Prof. of the Department, Dr. Honey John, Head of the Department and Dr.Thomas Kurian, Co-ordinator of the Conference spoke at the function. Prof. R. Damodaran IIT M, Dr. Jayasankar N.S from Central Leather Research Institute and Dr. Parameswary K.,
from Karunya University also participated in the conference.
