KOZHIKODE:
Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, today launched three new models of REPTO technology Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) transportation vehicles – Tata Prima 3530.K 10m 3 RMC, Tata Prima 2830.K 9 m 3 RMC and the Tata Signa 2825.K 8m 3 RMC in Calicut, Kerala. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology – REPTO (Rear Engine Power Take-Off), these vehicles are designed and engineered to increase operational efficiencies and reduce the total cost of operations.

The technologically-advanced REPTO platform, developed grounds-up for the RMC application, draws its power for concrete mixing directly from the engine resulting in a high operational efficiency. The engine PTO safely encased within the flywheel housing, delivers up to 500Nm of continuous torque to the RMC equipment. The REPTO RMC range ensures high productivity with up to 11% lower operating cost per cubic meter of concrete load. Available with fully-built 10m³, 9m³ and 8m³ body with drums from leading transit mixer manufacturers in the country, these vehicles can be used ready for use immediately after purchase.

Commenting at the launch, V Seethapathi, Vice President, M&HCV Product Line, Tata Motors said, “The construction and infrastructure sector forms the backbone of our country. Globally, India is one of the world’s largest construction markets and construction activity in Kerala is always on the rise. We are happy to introduce our power-packed RMC offerings, which are developed specially to reduce the cost of operations and enhance productivity for our customers. With a wide range of models in REPTO range, we are confident that this new range would help fuel the growth for construction and infrastructure in the state of Kerala, efficiently with benefits for all stakeholders.”
