More Technology in Libraries Required: Dr. K Ajitha

KOCHI:
“The service of libraries in the field of higher education and research is valuable”, said CUSAT Registrar Dr. K Ajitha. She was distributing the certificates at the concluding function of the five day national workshop on Digitalization of libraries organized by the School of Engineering Library of Cochin University of Science and Technology.

“Librarians should acquire more technical knowledge to help bring more library services to the people” she added. Dr. M R Radhakrishna Paniker, Principal, SOE presided over the function. Dr. Sasi Gopalan, Syndicate Member and Dr. Surendran Cherukodan, Co- ordinator spoke.

Dr. Senthil Nathan, UGC IRDC Director, Barathidasan University, Prof. G Santhosh Kumar, HOD, Department of Computer Science and Dr. Susan Mathew, Dr. Veerankutty , Deputy Librarians led the sessions.
