THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Buoyed by the enthusiastic response to the FAYA:80 tech seminar series held at Technopark here, the US headquartered IT company FAYA will expand the monthly event to cities and campuses across the state.
The initiative coincides with the 12th anniversary of Kerala’s most celebrated tech seminar series.
FAYA has been conducting the seminar series, led by the most innovative leaders in the Indian IT industry, on one Wednesday of every month at Technopark. FAYA:80 aims to build a vibrant community and culture of knowledge sharing, curiosity and innovation.
Deepu S. Nath, MD, FAYA India and Co-Founder of FAYA:80, said the statewide expansion of FAYA:80 will be through a distributed leadership model, inviting technologists, entrepreneurs and community leaders across Kerala to host their own monthly FAYA:80 chapters in cities and campuses.
Nath noted that this marks a shift from a centralized format to a collaborative, community-owned model, amplifying the platform’s reach and impact.
“FAYA:80 began 12 years ago with a simple vision – creating a free, open platform for knowledge sharing over coffee. Now we wish to empower tech communities across Kerala to carry this mission forward in their own domains and regions,” he added.
Since 2013, FAYA:80 has hosted over 200-plus sessions, creating an inclusive space for developers, students, founders, and change-makers to explore emerging tech topics with sharp minds from the industry. From artificial intelligence (AI) and Web3 to design thinking and digital marketing, the platform has stayed ahead of the curve by making complex subjects accessible to all.
FAYA will also host a congregation of all past FAYA:80 speakers and experts, who worked towards building the largest free knowledge-sharing ecosystem in Kerala, on June 28 as part of the 12th anniversary. The meet aims to chart out the roadmap for identifying strategic priorities to nurture Kerala’s innovation and acceptance of changing technologies. It will also discuss FAYA:80’s next decade activities with ecosystem enablers for free knowledge-sharing and guidance.
With this new chapter, FAYA:80 continues its mission to democratize knowledge, build local tech leadership, and strengthen Kerala’s position as a global innovation hub.
FAYA India launched FAYA:80 to bring about a change in the perception of organizations and the public of learning technologies that are reshaping the world.
