Kochi: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has dismissed the
petition filed by former State Police Chief T P Sen Kumar, challenging his removal from the top post before the expiry of his tenure.
The present LDF government of Kerala told the Tribunal that Sen Kumar had failed to handle Puttingal Fireworks Tragedy case and Jisha Murder Case properly and that such instances caused disrepute to the police force.
The Tribunal made it clear that it would not interfere in the internal matters of the state government. However, the Tribunal asked the government not to curtail the the remuneration and other benefits availed by Senkumar as DGP( Law and Order).
