MALAPPURAM:
UDF called for a hartal in Kerala on October 16 against the irregularities in implementing GST and hike in prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas.
Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that the hartal will be observed from 6 am to 6 pm. It will be ensured that the hartal will not effect FIFA Under 17 World Cup matches which are being held at Kochi.
He alleged that the Narendra Modi government had not taken any steps to solve the crisis evolved out of implementing GST. The prices of petroluem products are increasing day by day, causing severe hardships for the common people, he added.
