Union Bank of India’s U Genius 2.0 Mumbai Prelims

MUMBAI:
Union Bank of India launched its annual All India Quiz Competition for school students, aptly christened U Genius, last year. The competition is designed as a capacity-building initiative for young minds to inspire the spirit of learning and encourage curiosity and healthy competition. After its resounding success in 24 cities in 2022, the popular quiz is back in 2023 and will be hosted in 32 cities across the country.

Union Bank of India’s Zonal Office Mumbai hosted the Mumbai Prelims of U Genius 2.0 for schoolchildren in Mumbai on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Birla Matushri Sabhaghar Auditorium, Marine Lines. The event was graced by Executive Director Nidhu Saxena, Zonal Head Mumbai Yogendra Singh & Regional Head, Mumbai South Vijaykumar.

The much-awaited quiz saw participation by young quizzers in the city, with 1150 students from 143 prominent schools. The team of avid quizzers from Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Powai emerged as the winners and shall compete with the winners of the prelim rounds being conducted in 32 different cities for the coveted U Genius 2.0 Trophy later this year.
