Taking the tradition forward to appreciate the remarkable contribution of women to our society, UST Global, a US-based leading digital technology services company, celebrated a week long Women’s Day celebration in its Trivandrum office.
The company believes that Women’s Day is a very significant day in the history of time and warra
nts a strategic focus and commitment to change the landscape of gender skew in our society. In a country like India where the cases of gender violence are on the rise, self-defense for women has become a necessity more than ever. The company, in an effort to empower its women employees, provided a day-long self-defense training in collaboration with Kerala Police. As part of its CSR initiatives on the occasion, the company’s NOWU (Network of Women USsociates) Team handed over furniture (Benches, Desks, etc.) for the young children of Government Town UP School, Kilimanoor. The formal handover function was conducted at the Govt. Town UPS , Kilimanoor on 13th March.
Additionally, various competitions to reveal the employees’ hidden talents in different areas like story writing, poetry writing, pencil sketching, painting, collage making were conducted. The company also screened PINK movie, the first screening of a movie its UST Global Campus Amphitheatre, which saw huge attendance and appreciation by the employees.

hared inspiring messages to the employees. Hema Menon, Thiruvananthapuram Centre Head, UST Global; and Umesh Kamath, Director HR, UST Global, also addressed the employees.
