UST Undertakes Renovation Works at Regional Cancer Centre

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
UST, a leading AI and digital transformation solutions company, has undertaken renovation and development works at the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) Thiruvananthapuram, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. RCC, based in the state capital city, is one of the premier cancer treatment centers in Kerala, India.

The company’s CSR wing undertook the ceiling, vinyl, painting work and improvement works at the Chemo wards on the 5th floor, and the patient waiting area on the 6th floor of RCC.

This initiative is part of UST’s ongoing CSR efforts focused on supporting healthcare infrastructure and enhancing patient care facilities in the state of Kerala. The latest effort at RCC is a testament to UST’s commitment towards ensuring better facilities that enhance the well-being and comfort of the community through sustainable infrastructure support.

“The renovation and development works carried out at RCC with the support of UST’s CSR team reflects our continued commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and supporting the well-being of the community around us. We are pleased to contribute towards creating a more comfortable and efficient environment for both patients and healthcare professionals at RCC,” said Alexander Varghese, President, UST.

The work undertaken at RCC primarily involved wall panelling, false ceiling, and painting works in the chemo ward, which have significantly improved the ambience of the ward and created a more pleasant and patient-friendly environment for patients and their bystanders while also supporting our efforts to deliver quality cancer care,” said Dr. Rejnish Kumar R, Director and Administrative Head, Regional Cancer Centre (RCC).

Apart from Alexander Varghese, UST officials including Sunil Balakrishnan, Chief Values Officer and Global Head for Development Center Operations; Vineeth Mohanan, CSR Lead; Nand Sundaram, CSR Ambassador; Roshni Das K, Senior Lead – PR & Marketing, Kerala; attended the function to mark the completion of the renovation and development works at RCC. Besides Dr Rejnish Kumar R, an RCC team comprising Pramod P B, HoD, Engineering Department; Anju Ajith A, Assistant Engineer, RCC; and Anil J, Assistant Engineer; were also present. Harikrishnan Mohankumar, CSR Ambassador – Trivandrum, and Senior Director, Workplace Management, UST, led this initiative.
