THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
In a rare tribute to the Father of the Nation on his 150th birth anniversary, the National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) premiered the visualization of the favourite bhajans of Mahatma Gandhi in Indian Sign Language (ISL) here on Wednesday.
The public screening and release of the Bhajan CD, ‘Sathyameva Jayathe’, was held at a function at Gandhi Park, East Fort,on the Gandhi Jayanthi Day. It was the first screening of the video CD outside NISH campus. The students also drew a picture of Gandhiji on the occasion.
The Video CD carries visualization in ISL of the favourite Bhajans of the Mahatma, like Vishnav Janato (Narsinh Mehta), Ekla Chalore (Rabindranath Tagore) and Raghupathi Raghav Rajaram (Lakshmanacharya).
