KOCHI:
Vijay Goel, Minister of State (IC) for Youth Affairs and Sports will be visiting Kerala on 28th and 29th April, 2017. He will visit the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and other practice venues for FIFA Under-17 World
Cup matches in Kochi on 28 th April, 2017. This visit was necessitated due to some complaints of delay in preparation of holding this prestigious event.
After the visit to Kochi, he will undertake visits to remaining five venues where the World Cup matches will be played for an on the spot assessment of the preparations.
During this visit, the Minister will review the activities of SAI Centre at Kochi, meet the officers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), National Service Scheme (NSS) to review performance of their oganisations in Kerala State. Further, after completion of the visit to Kochi, he will visit Thiruvananthapuram on 29th April, 2017, where he will be laying the foundation stone for Boys Hostel (5 Crs. cost).
