THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Highlighting the importance of participating in the democratic process, a voter awareness campaign for tech professionals and officials was held at Technopark today, ahead of the April 9 State Legislative Assembly elections.
The campaign, titled ‘Your Vote Matters’, was jointly organised by the District Administration and Technopark to encourage voter participation among the IT community.
Sandip Kumar, CEO, Technopark; Dr. Sivasakthivel C, Assistant Collector, Thiruvananthapuram; Madhavan Praveen, CTO, Technopark; Vasanth Varada, Deputy Vice President (Marketing & Customer Relationship), Abhilash D S, Asst Vice President (Administration & Industrial Relations), along with other Park Centre officials and SVEEP members, attended the event.
Sheeja V V, Assistant Nodal Officer, SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation), administered the voter pledge to tech professionals and employees, urging them to actively participate in the electoral process. Binukumar A L, SVEEP Team Member, proposed a vote of thanks.
Adding to the engagement, techies, along with Park Centre officials and District Administration members, presented a flash mob and a skit, reinforcing the message of voter awareness and civic responsibility.
The programme was organised under SVEEP, the flagship initiative of the Election Commission of India aimed at promoting voter education and participation in elections.
