World Environment Day Observed in Technopark

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Tree-planting and environmental conservation activities were held across Technopark campuses today to mark World Environment Day, with active participation from Developers, Co-Developers, and IT units.

In Technopark Phase III here, a tree-planting initiative was organised across the premises in association with representatives from various companies operating on the campus.

As part of the initiative, Kanikonna (Cassia fistula) saplings were planted at various locations within the campus, symbolising the collective commitment of the participating organisations towards environmental sustainability and a greener future.

The saplings were planted by Balagopal, Vice President & Head, India Development Centre, Way.com; Liji Shibu, GM (HR & Operations), Applexus; Shagin, Co-Founder & Partner, Infospics Consulting Services; Manu Madhavan, Chief Operating Officer, DCube AI; Mukesh, Associate Manager, Travancore Analytics; and Alphonso Francis, Chief Project Officer, Global Public School.

Representatives from the Technopark administration, housekeeping and garden maintenance teams also participated in the initiative.

In Technopark Phase V, Kollam, saplings were planted by Smt. Beeja Murali, Superintendent of Customs, SEZ-Kollam, along with representatives from Incredible Visibility Solutions, Websorbz, Technopark Administration, and the Operations & Maintenance team.

A variety of fruit-bearing and native species were planted, including orange, jackfruit, cherry, gooseberry, mango, orange berry, and Malabar tamarind.
