KOCHI:
Teams from St Joseph’s Public School, Thottuva and Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara emerged as the winners in the UP and HS Section respectively in the Yi Swachh Bharat Inter School Skit contest held at the Vytilla Mobility Hub, Kochi. teams from H S S of Jesus Kothad and Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar won the second and third prizes respectively in the UP section and Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar and Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Naval Base won the second and third prizes respectively in the High School section.
To propagate the goals of Swachh Bharat and make students aware of the importance of proper waste management, Young Indians (Yi), the youth wing of Confederation of Indian Industry(CII) had organized the Skit Contest on 22 February 2018 at the at the Vytilla Mobility Hub, Kochi., taking into account the social relevance of the theme of the contest.
The programme was inaugurated by Sakunthala Diwakaran, the oldest employee at the mobility hub. APM Mohammed Hanish, MD, KMRL gave away the prizes to the winners. Past Chairpersons of Yi Kochi chapter, Namrata Khona Samra and Vivek Krishna Govind, Current Chairperson, Priya Fazil and the Chair of Swachh Bharat initiatives, Yi Kochi chapter, Fazil AS also spoke during the programme.
