Cochin Port Day was celebrated today (28 th May 2019) at Samudrika Hall, North End, Willingdon Island.
K. S. Srinivas, Chairman, Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) was the Chief Guest of the function. Dr. M. Beena, Chairman, Cochin Port Trust, A.V. Ramana, Deputy Chairman, representatives of trade unions & the trade, employees and families were present.
Best performing port users and outstanding performers among the employees of the Port were awarded. Entertainment programmes were staged by employees and their family members. A dredger of Dredging Corporation of India was arranged at the BTP berth for public visit from 10 AM to 5 PM.
