Made in 2004, ‘Final solution’ initially got a ban from Censor Board, but later the ban was lifted after a sustained campaign through online petition, hundreds of protest screenings countrywide, and multi-city signature campaigns and dozens of letters to the Government sent by audiences directly. The documentary went on to win President’s Indian National Film Awards and won two awards at 2004 Berlin International Film Festival. ‘Final Solution’ was screened on Thurday at SiGNS 2016 in front of a full crowd.
‘SiGNS 2016’ will screen around 200 short film and documentaries and will have its curtains down on October 2 at Ernakulam Town.
