PANAJI:
A five member team of Drishti Marine lifeguards bagged 11 medals at the third edition of the All India Master Swim Competition 2018 which took place recently at the SAG swimming Pool in Campal.
Drishti Marine Lifeguard Trainers and Zonal Incharge, Trinidade D’Souza, Amit Shinde, Ashwin Ghag, Santano Fernandes and Vinod Salelkar were among the 40 participants who took part in the competition. Trinidade D’Souza won two gold medals for 100 Mtrs Freestyle and 50 Mtrs Breast Stroke; while Amit Shinde was awarded a bronze medal for 50 Mtrs Back Stroke.
Ashwin Ghag and Santano Fernandes took home three gold medals each. Ashwin won gold medals for 50 Mtrs Freestyle, 100 Mtrs Freestyle and 50 Mtrs Breast Stroke; whereas Santano won gold medals for 50 Mtrs Freestyle, 100 Mtrs Freestyle and 50 Mtrs Back Stroke. Vinod Salelkar won one gold and one silver medal for 100 Mtrs Freestyle and 50 Mtrs Breast Stroke respectively.
Further, Amit Shinde, Ashwin Ghag, Santano Fernandes and Vinod Salelkar won the 50 metres x 4, Medley Swim Relay. All winners were awarded with Medals & Certificates of Honour.
