THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Kerala Police Cyberdome has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the CIO Association of India-Kerala Chapter (CIOKlub) for collaborating on various projects related to drone surveillance systems, counter child sexual exploitation (CCSE), dark web monitoring, crypto crime prevention and adopting new technologies such as robotics and metaverse.
The agreement was signed by IG P. Prakash IPS, Nodal Officer Cyberdome, and Sreekumar Balachandran, President, CIOKlub Kerala Chapter (Global IT Head, SunTec Group), at the Kerala Police Intelligence Headquarters in Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram. Senior officials from CIOKlub, including A. Balakrishnan, Director of Geojit Financial Services; Sugeesh, Director of Speridian Technologies and Georgie Kurian, and Kerala Police were present on the occasion.
P. Prakash IPS said that the partnership is part of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative of the Kerala Police to leverage technological and other support systems from organizations like CIOKlub. With the collective expertise and industry connections that CIOKlub can provide, Cyberdome is optimistic about receiving more industry support and collaboration to make its various projects aimed at making cyberspace a safer space for the common man even more successful, he added.
The CIO Association of India (CIOKlub) is a collective of IT Heads of major organizations with 14 chapters across India and the Middle East.
