Keys Handed Ocer of 18 Houses Constructed under Muthoot Ashiana Project

KOOTHATTUKULAM:
The Muthoot Ashiana is a project started by the Muthoot M George Foundation to provide housing to those who have completely lost their homes in 2018 flood and those who are homeless. As per the plan, construction of 187 houses has already been started and construction of 137 houses has been completed.

The keys of 18 houses constructed in Koothattukulam, as part of Muthoot M George Foundation’s social commitment activities, were handed over. In a public meeting presided over by Muthoot Group Managing Director George Alexander, Shri. Anoop Jacob, Piravom MLA handed over the keys of 18 houses. VJ Lukose, Land Donor delivered the speech.

18 houses were built on 1.05 acres of land allotted by VJ Lukose, Vellamathadathil House, Elanji . The house with a buildup area of 500 sq ft includes two bedrooms, kitchen, hall and toilet and each house has a cost of Rs. 5, 20,000. Iris Builders & Interiors led the construction work. Muthoot has already started construction of 187 houses under the Asiana Housing Scheme, of which 137 houses have been completed. The construction of 155 houses, including Koothattukulam houses, has been completed.

Muthoot Group is a company that has always worked for the betterment of the community. It is believed that by building a house for a family, that family can easily be brought back to their normal lives, said Muthoot Group Managing Director, George Alexander Muthoot. Muthoot Group CSR Head Babu John Malayil, Koothattukulam Municipal Chairman Roy Abraham, CPI (M) Koothattukulam Area Secretary and Meat Products of India Director Shaju Jacob, Ward Councilor A. S. Rajan and others participated in the function.
