“Malayalam which faces erosion of words and phrases due to changes in circumstances needs a renaissance to strengthen it by coining new words according to the emerging situations”, opined renowned writer Prof. K. Satchidanandan. He was delivering online lecture on ‘Malayalam Language: Abilities and limitations’ in connection with Bharanabhasha varshakhosham of Cochin University of Science and Technology. Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. P.G. Sankaran and Dr. K. Ajitha spoke.
“Mother tongue is the basis of the cultural structure of a society and it is essential for a democratic society that the curriculum, learning activities and administration should be in the mother tongue”, said Prof. K.
