KOCHI:
Muthoot Finance Employees across Kerala strongly protested against CITU goons on the attack against Muthoot Group Managing Director George Alexander Muthoot. The protesting employees demanded an end to the CITU’s muscle power on their right to work.
More than 2400 employees of branches across the state attended the protest meeting organized by Muthoot Staff Welfare Association at Ashis Convention Center, TVS Junction – South Kalamassery. The meeting vehemently expressed its protest on not allowing the branches to function because of the frequent strikes and external forces that threatening employees.
The meeting demanded that the government take immediate steps to prevent the strikes on workers’ right to work in Kerala, which is called an industrial friendly state. The meeting demanded that legal actions shall be taken against who conspired the attack on Muthoot Managing Director George Alexander Muthoot, though the person who attacked had been arrested.
Ernakulam Regional Manager Vinod Kumar inaugurated the protest meeting presided by Prabha Francis. M. M. Mathew made introductory speech and Sam George gave an explanatory speech. Karunakara Kurup, Regional Manager, Kozhencherry, presented the resolution. Auditor General GM Kiran recited the pledge against the strike against Muthoot Finance. Employees attended the meeting holding protest placards against the strike.
